With our courts in Rice Park getting close to being finished, we are sure some of you have noticed a little change to the tennis courts. Instead of two tennis courts, we will now have one tennis court and two pickleball courts. This probably has some of you wondering, what is pickleball?
Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports and is enjoyed by people of all ages. It combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Pickleball is played with a paddle and a ball similar to a wiffle ball. The court is smaller than a tennis court and doesn’t require as much running as tennis.
Anyone interested in learning more and giving it a try, we will have an open pickleball lesson on September 1st at 5pm at Rice Park. All ages are welcome!
Postponed until Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at 5pm.
